Natixis Partners advised Initiative & Finance and Elige Capital on the sale of Origin Group to Abénex

Abénex has acquired Origin Group, a distributor of industrial sealing solutions, from Initiative & Finance and Elige Capital, alongside its management team, led by Bertrand Sée. Origin Group, based in the Rhône-Alpes region, designs, manufactures and distributes industrial sealings solutions and generates €30 million of sales. The control of the entire value chain allows the Group to hold a unique position on the French market. Thanks to its extensive expertise, significant depth of product range and availability, Origin Group addresses a large variety of recurring customers and end-markets in France and abroad. Founded in 1992, the Group has distinguished itself through synergistic external growth, in particular since the arrival of Initiative & Finance and Elige Capital in 2016 with the realization of three acquisitions. Abénex intends to accelerate the consolidation of the market, which is still very fragmented. The transaction allows for a reorganization of the shareholder structure, with the exit of Initiative & Finance, Elige Capital and one of the historical founding families, as well as the entry of the management team into the capital.
