Natixis Partners advised the Group Salins du Midi in connection with the financing of the acquisition of the Italian group Atisale

The Atisale group is the third salt company in Italy. The Group sales more than 100 product references to retailer networks, the Italian food industry, livestock farming, non-food sectors, water services and road safety. It produces c. 750 kT of sea salt per year through its three production sites based in Margherita di Savoia, in Puglia, Sant’Antioco in Sardinia and Saline di Volterra in Tuscany. Already present in Italy for many years, the Salins Group becomes, thanks to this operation, the co-leader of the salt market in Italy. The financing of this acquisition takes the form of a bank financing add-on subscribed by the Group’s historical relationship banks which are Banque CIC Est (Agent), BNP Paribas, Crédit Lyonnais, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking and Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels. With more than 150 years of history, the Salins Group is the leading French salt company and one of the European leaders, known notably for its brand "La Baleine", the leading brand of table salt in France. Commercially active in more than 70 countries, the group provides salt to a multitude of industries. In addition to a solid organic growth which relies on a sustained policy of industrial investments, the Group maintains a dynamic external growth policy which enhance its position as a leader in the European salt market.
