December 31st, 2015 Natixis Partners advised Carlson WagonLit Travel with respect to the sale of Havas Voyages to Marietton group

Carlon Wagonlit Travel France, one of the world’s leading business travel management groups, has agreed to sell Havas Voyages to Voyages Marietton, backed by Edmond de Rothschild and Siparex.

Created in 1938, Havas Voyages is a French leading travel company with 485 travel agencies. In 2015, the company achieved sales of €800M, c. 2.2 million transactions with 250,000 clients counting more than 10,000 companies. 

By selling Havas Voyages, CWT France gives up its travel distribution activity to the leisure and mid-cap business markets.

The merger gives birth to one of the first integrated player in the tourism sector in France.

The new group will include 600 travel agencies for a €1.2b sales revenue, with 60% from business travels and 40% from leisure ones.
